Sounds like a great combination of time travel superheroes and adventures involving different invanders.

Chris Schillig explains the story:

The premiere issue provides a fairly standard set-up as the Invaders - Captain America, the Sub-Mariner, the Human Torch, and sidekicks Bucky and Toro - walk into a mysterious mist while on a mission in Italy in 1943. They find themselves in New York in 2008, in the middle of a battle between Spider-Man and the Thunderbolts. With no pun intended about the aquatic Sub-Mariner, what follows is a fish-out-of-water story, as the heroes of a more innocent time face the complexities of today.

The first issue is really good so go buy the comics and have fun.
