Alias and the Purple Man

The kick-ass-chick-who-was-raped-in-her-past story has been over used in alot of different mediums. I have more faith in Bendis than to pull that card on us. My guess is that he made Jessica do something to the rest of the Avengers, seeing as she freaked out so much when she saw Cap in the latest issue. Just a thought, though.

Jessica's already rejected that suggestion when Scott Lang made it several issues ago. Although, of course, it's possible she was lying.

Does anyone remember? I think it was one of those things, where someone used him, and the editor and writer didn't pay attention that he was dead, so he was then alive, and they had to come up with a reason....but I don't know if they ever gave it...if they did, I don't remember it....

Who still loves when Doom gets in the gem with the Purple Man, takes off his make, and defeats his power with sheer will.

I'm figuring maybe he raped her. Wasn't Warbird also raped at one time? Perhaps because she was able to work through it she wants Jessica to do the same.

While reorganizing back-issues I stumbled onto something possibly important to what happened with Killgrave and Jessica

ALIAS# 21 there is a dream sequence when Jessica is briefly knocked out where she seemingly shares an intimate moment with a Shadowed Man (they embrace/kiss and the look on Jewels face makes it appear she is in love). Jewel then turns and is confronted by the Defenders and Thor. Jessica wakes up and gets back to the business of rescuing Maddie Franklin.

On second look, that Shadowed Man wasnt shadowed at all...he was PURPLE.
