I've just recently started reading Alias on the reccommendation of a friend, and I had some questions. So far, I've read/glanced at the first two trade paperbacks, and I've read part 5&6 of the story with Jessica Drew.
Questions...
How did she get her powers?
What exactly ARE her powers?
What was her name when she was a superhero?
Is it true that the author originally wanted to use Jessica Drew as the main character but it was nixed, so he made up someone just like her.

DD/Spidey-related Alias spoiler below
A nit: You know, I don't think the timing is good on that. Daredevil came out (real time) about a year after Spider-Man? Yet Matt Murdock also gained his powers in high school. Then went through college and law school before making his debut as a costumed hero. I'd think Matt Murdock got his powers at least five years before Peter Parker.
