I was a big fan of Marvel's wsetern comics in the 60's - 70's.

Amongst the most popular listed below, who were your favorites and why?

Rawhide Kid Two-Gun Kid Kid Colt Outlaw Ringo Kid Gunhawk(s) Ghost Rider Black Rider Matt Slade Wyatt Earp

I'll start by suggesting The Ghost Rider, The Black Rider and Two Gun were my favorites at the time. I suspect now, that was mainly do to the mystery-type hero influences in these book. As I look back and re-read some of these classics, Kid Colt, Gunhawk and The Ringo Kid are my current favorites. IMO, the artwork and storys themselves are a notch above the other books.

I'm a big fan of the Ringo Kid, mainly for the superior Joe Maneely & John Severin art his stories usually had. The Rawhide Kid was the best of the 60's titles, and kept doing all-new stories the longest. I'm also rather fond of the Black Rider

I like the Marvel western heroes so much, I even had a commission done featuring them. You can see it here, if you're interested: http://comicartwarehouse.com/maratwestern001.html

At any rate, I would love to see an ongoing series featuring all of the Marvel western heroes. Sort of a like the old JACK KIRBY'S FOURTH WORLD series featured all of his Fourth World characters, although not necessarily at the same time. I'd love to see John Severin draw it, or former DESPERADOES penciler John Cassaday.

I just find the stories I've read so far to be pretty unimaginative
