Just recently got back into reading comics and such. Just wondering what would be the best series to get into, and what other ppl thought was good.
Here's what I consider to be the best so far (have only really looked at the Marvel line):
1. Alias 2. Exiles 3. Ultimates 4. Ultimate X-men 5. Ultimate Spiderman
P.S. Anyone know why 'the Ultimates' has so much time between issues now ?

In order, keeping in mind that there are a lot of current Marvel titles out there I haven't read:
Ultimate Spider-Man Exiles Fantastic Four Ultimates Ultimate X-Men Marvel Universe: The End (which doesn't thrill me)
Titles I plan to pick up, in order of my anticipation: Supreme Power 1602 Eternal
Titles that are high on the list of stuff recommended to me by people who know my tastes, but I still haven't tried out yet: Alias Runaways Sentinel

I think Daredevil it the tops of the comics I get from Marvel I'm also buying Amazing spidey, Ult spidey, Ult Xmen, Ultimates and Hulk (just since #50, not sure how much longer), and I plan to keep buying Namor.
I've tried a bunch over the last couple months: Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Wolverine (new #1), New Xmen, Uncanny Xmen, Punisher, Avengers, Cap America, The Crew. None of which I felt were worth the cover price. And Uncanny was only 25cents.
Well, Miller and Hitch haven't been the fastest in putting out the title. So far, if they can do every other month, I'll be just happy.

1) Daredevil (love the dialog, hate the pace) 2) Ultimates (love the dark take on the Avengers) 3) Ultimate X-Men (love the dark take on the X-Men) 4) Hulk (like the mystery, but not fond of current artist [can't we have John Romita Jr. or Lee Weeks back, please, pretty please, those issues were just simply gorgeous!]) 5) Amazing Spider-man (fun reads, great art) 6) New X-Men (interesting ideas; this close to being 'too much' of a good thing, though... I'm not recognizing some of these characters any more)
If you like Alias, you ought to get Daredevil.
Also, from what I've seen so far, I'm probably going to add Wolverine and New Mutants to this list soon. And from what I've heard, I am definitely going to check out Runaways.

I read the FCBD Metallix #1 and was going to post that you would like it. Reminded me a lot of early-mid 90s Marvel.
