I’m following Wonder Woman I guess I have a weakness to heroins being a girl in a world filled with man characters and I enjoy the work Simone is doing with her.

I would however separate her issues from the main story as she is doing more side stories than developing the story line.

In a review of this issue Timothy expresses basically the same feeling but I guess that the difference is that I enjoy the side stories and can take a break from the main story line for a while. I wonder how long it would last as readers can’t wait too long for a story to develop before the main story is harmed.

Normally I’m not a big fan of side stories that get a special name and a life of their own but in this case I think it would be best.

Love to hear more opinions on this issue.

It is always sad to hear about an interesting artist that brought new possibilities and ideas to the world of comics dies.

Jack Kamen got his most publicity from working for EC comics and had some at his best work done when he combines the element of horrific with that of the commonplace. I read the definition at Fortress of Fortitude and thought I couldn’t have defined it better myself.

BTW “The Neat Job” was my first EC story too.

I’ve seen this photo on Mark Hale’s blog not sure who’s the talented artist is, maybe he did it but it was really a funny pic so I couldn’t resist bringing it here.

As for more really serious things I find this week to be a little slow, no great no comics that I have to read.

Maybe it is the right time to go back to some of the classics that I haven’t read in a long time or just read more blogs, more than I usually do.

Found an interesting discussion of Promethea that is worth reading. I wouldn’t even enter the discussion as this is once of the most complex comics out there. I enjoy Alan Moore but sometimes I just want a comics I can enjoy and the kabbalah lessons as fascinating as they are were too much for me to have in a comics.

Sometimes and maybe most times I think of my comics as a place to rest and enjoy much like a good TV show.

It is not that I’m not reading or seeing some serious stuff too but there is a time and a place for everything and I would have read the taro stories much more willingly in something that I chose for that purpose.

Are there great comics that you think I should read?

Love to hear some suggestions as I’m always searching for good new things.

I know I promised to be more positive but really this is the best that they can do for the 50th Superman Batman issue?

It is not that the cover isn’t creative or something it is that it is recycled!!.

I can’t believe that I waited so long to post on the movie but I had to convince some skeptics to come with me and the tickets are disappearing faster than my spontaneity.

So finally I decided to just buy the tickets assuming I’ll have three more people and at the worst case scenario try to sell them at the entrance.

It wasn’t necessary when I told my friends that I have the tickets and I’ll go with them or without them they couldn’t resist coming and making cynical comments about me and my love for super heroes. It ended with them not wanting to leave the movie theater after the movie ended and all the bad intentions were totally forgotten.

There is no other way to put it the Dark Knight is really a great movie even if you’re not a total super heroes geek me. It can compete at any category for good acting and it might even get the Oscar for best movie or something.

All I can say is that if you too have friends that are hard to convince this is the right movie for them as it is speaks all all movie lovers in fact it sets standards and I hope it would influence other movie makers to treat the movies and the viewers with more respect.

Judging from the numbers quality pays off.
