I just read this book and am confused. I thought I remembered reading back in the 'Nam that Castle started out as a private and eventually became a Sgt. In the Born series he's a Captain. Am I just remembering incorrectly?

Yeah, but so far I wasn't too impressed by the book. Just Ennis' complacent storyline. While I consider the 'Nam a classic read.
