comic collection

my mate has a collection of comics ' the mighty world of marvel weekly ' issues 1 - 300 with about 5 issues missing. does anyone know where i can get a valuation for him??

Tell your mate not to get his hopes up though, as the books were just reprints of earlier books in the States, and large collections are going on ebay for around £15.

Sadly, these are not worth much of anything. On the odd occasions I see them they're in bins usually priced at between 10p and 50p each, depending on how optimistic the buyer is. Mind you, if he's feeling altruistic, he could sort out those issues that have 'clean' art (ie no added letraset/zipatone), bundle them up, and ship them to Tom Brevoort or someone like that at Marvel USA since they're looking for clean black'n'white versions of a lot of 1960s art they no longer have. No money in this for, though, just the glow you get from doing a good deed.
