I just saw Spider-Man at the local theater. The movie is a Spidey fan's dream come true because it presents Peter Parker and the Spider-Man universe very well on screen. I'm glad the movie was made now because the effects and Spidey action are well done and very believable. All of the characters were true to the comic for the most part. I wish the decision to make Peter's web fluid biological wasn't made for the movie because it takes away from how important his scientific expertise helps him become Spider-Man. The ability for Peter to create mechanical web-shooters and lab made web-fluid is key to the character in the comic and should not have been changed. I'm willing to overlook the inconsistencies between the movie and comic because overall the movie was true to the comic and the characters. I can't wait to see the movie again in the theater and on dvd. I'm off to read a Spider-Man comic

I am waiting... counting the hours till my showing at 8:30.... but atleast I get to see it on an IMAX screen.. I LOVE THAT.

I always liked how Spidey would go home and tinker with his fluid - depending on the baddie he fought. I thought that was cool.

I liked the new twists: genetic spider vs. radioactive. Bio webs vs. mechanical. Of course, one event in the comics, him running out of web fluid, will no longer be an issue. So who is the next villain: I'd pick Dr. Octopus
