I was around 7 or 8 when I first started reading comics. What books around now are that would be suitable for kids of this age? It seems that they are all geared towards mature readers and bypasing the old get 'em while they're young saying. I read the xmen books when I was younger, but I couldnt imagine letting my 8 year old cousins read the books of today.

For superheroes: Batman Adventures, Justice League Adventures For everything else: Akiko, Amelia Rules, Archie Comics titles, and those are just the A's.

I agree with you, there aren't any Marvel comics suitable for all ages currently, but there's lots more out there.

Feh. I think most of them (except for the MAX books, obviously) are fine. Kids that age won't get any 'mature' content anyway, and if they do get it then it's already 'too late.' No need to keep them tied to the baby books like Adventures.

Disney comics are back this month and they are great.

Archie Comics are suitable for kids.

Spider-girl is the only Marvel comic that won't bore most under-10s. It also has almost no objectionable language.

Looney Tunes and Scooby Doo are suitable for kids. DC has a few other licensed cartoon comics that are excellent.

If you think that young mutants being crucified on the front lawn of Xavier's is appropriate for a child then I can only assume that you have no sense whatsoever. I desperately hope that you never have children.

Feh... I can remember being exposed to much worse when I was 7 or 8.

That does not mean it was appropriate for you or others to be exposed to it. If nothing else, it led to you being a person who says 'Feh.' That's damage

When I was seven I was well beyond Disney comics.
