Did the people who made these movies lie to us before the movies came out?

I saw one of the 'behind the scenes' type programes of the Hulk the other day, and it showed the motion capture being done by Ang Lee in the black outfit with white markers. You could then see how the markers looked when in motion on the pc, and the finished result of the Hulk cgi.

The cgi Hulk motions were almost identical to the ones you saw Ang doing.
