In an attempt to breath some life in this group, here are a few posts to chew on...this is the first one.

Who's your favorite Spidey Villain?

I gotta go with the original Green Goblin. Cool costume, cool gadgets.

From the old ones: Yes, Green Goblin and the Lizard, I think. And from the new ones: Venom and Carnage. (Maximum Carnage was one of the best and 'hardest' Spidey-Stories I've ever read.)

I'd have to go with Doc Ock . Attitude. A scientist. And with those extra legs, he could pass for a spider of sorts in a dark alley. He just looks cool.

Now I got to say it's up in the air between two. Venom (from AMS #298 to #345) after that he got lame & the First Hobgoblin. Both were had a real evil streak behind them in the begining but after too much exposure started getting lame.

Venom suffered from the face turn. After that, the tried creating Carnage to fill the void.

Hmm...I can't pick just one. Either Venom, Green Goblin, or the Lizard. Others up there for me are Hobgoblin and Mysterio too.

Doc Oc!

He's always been my favorite, and I was royally pissed when they killed him for a brief period of time.

Oddly enough, I kinda like the fact that he knows who Peter is (or is that retconned?). I think if he ever killed Parker, he'd make sure May didn't die

Doc Ock is dead? No way!!! What the hell is wrong with Marvel anyways. A guy stops readin spiderman for 20 years and when he comes back.............everybody is dead!! This is just un-acceptable ! I'm pissed!

back.............everybody Was dead. And the way they brought him back was one of the most retarded things I've ever seen in comics.

There was a female Doc Ock for that time...I thought she was kinda cool.

mine wuld have the be the original hobgoblin. thats the time i first got into comics in a serious leval. i had to keep buying spidey just to find out who he was. and i did guess right. kind of. i deducted that ned leeds was the hobgoblin but however years later during the hobgoblins lives series that was proven incorrect. which i think just added to his mystique.

and i liked the way they killed off ock. it set up kaine as a major character.(which they then proceeded to drop the ball, but i digest.) i remeber when i read it i was struck by how quickly a person can be killed even the most powerful.

peter porker spectular spider ham.

Marvel seems to have a lot of those 'retarded moments', don't they?
