OK, I admit I'm coming in to this late, and I know the writers can't keep a system consistent over dozens of years. But... My old comics have Franklin bursting out of hell... They also have Dr. Strange saying that magic doesn't work well against science (while fighting [crap - the Egyptian version of the Time Guy]).

Should I just reset my Marvel Universe values? What block of comix should I read to update myself?

New writers, new plots, new rules. Don't try to update yourself, find a book you like and jump in. There is no rigid continuity nowadays, so by the time you 'catch up', you'll be behind once more.
