Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone here has any information on potential trade paperbacks that Marvel hasn't solicited. (ie. Has anyone heard if Marvel's planning to make them.)

The ones I'm looking at in particular are: 1) Agent X, collecting Gail Simone's run. I didn't collect it by the issue, since I prefer TPB and the subject matter didn't seem that appealing, but the response to this run has been so positive around here that I want to check it out. Does anyone know if it's on the way?

2) New Essentials. With two movies coming out in May and June, I expected Marvel to release new volumes of Essential X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Wolverine, and/or Hulk. There are no Essential X-books in the April X-Men push, though. To me, this can only mean that Marvel has chosen not to produce new product in the Essential line, since this would be the most potentially profitable time to release them. I know people here have been predicting this for a while, but has there been any official word on this at any time?

Here's a link to Amazon.com's list of 2003 releases, which goes several months beyond Previews solicitations:

No Agent X or Essentials listed, which is a bad sign, though not absolute

That link didn't work for me, but another big one on my list would be the G.I.JOE reprints. I own the original comics, but it's sort of nice to have them in a somewhat recolored, sturdier book form.

Something I'd love to see is a Marvel Library collection in the same graphic album format as the Carl Barks Library. Imagine Ditko's Spider-Man in handy recolored over-sized editions! And Romita Sr.'s! The Lee/Kirby FF! Gulacy's original Master of Kung Fu! The Byrne/Claremont X-Men! All sorts of stuff!! I'd gladly replace most of my original comics with that kind of definitive publications.

You'll prise my original comics from my cold dead fingers.

I would still like the trades though...
