If you're already gay, the ink will make you super-gay. Buddy Cole gay, even.

Just curious...does Howard Stern even have writers? I thought their ignorant babble was just that (I suppose he helps produce those wonderful segments that deal with T&A.) Are you supposed to be impressed by this guys writing ability and the fact he is taking on such a topic in such an insinsitive manner? Way to go Marvel. You are a leader in your field.

I don't really expect much from Marvel, but never having read anything by Zimmerman, as far as I know, and not having seen anything from the mini series apart from un-dialogued art, I'm waiting for the result to voice an opinion.

Haven't been impressed with Zimmerman's work. Expressed my ambivalence in my local store about his ability, and a fellow customer chimed in with his vote for Zimmerman . Maybe the dude's got a cult following. Heck, how do some of the writers stay around as long as they do?

Having (tried to) read most of what he's written for Marvel, including the PR snippets of the upcoming script, I think it would take a miracle for this to turn out mature and critically acclaimed.

The Severin art, on the other hand, should be lovely.

Anyway, my point was that the writer's got a rep for a reason. Most of his work has been justifiably panned.

Depends on which particular situation we're talking about.

Most of the criticism I've seen so far is outraged THEY could 'do that to the Rawhide Kid, who has no history of being gay' (for a comic book published in the 50's and 60's big surprise, here!). Doubt (jutsified or otherwise) about the writer's abilities is just beginning to trickle in...
