I've recently started playing Heroclix and now I find myself with over a hundred of them. So how do most people store there collection? Just looking for options if you can suggest any... thanks. Comics -N- Such (http://www.comicsnsuch.com)

I've actually found fishing tackle boxes quite handy. Some I've found the individual 'compartments' are just perfect for storing figures in (and putting one of the plastic holders from the packs in each compartment and putting the figure back in those helps reinforce them a little better).

I had thought about 'tackle boxes', or somethign very similiar over the weekend, but doesn't that get expensive? Do you cart all your boxes around with you if you're going to go out to play a game? Comics -N- Such (http://www.comicsnsuch.com)

Tackle boxes work well, or hardware boxes (the ones that you keep nails and screws in). I have one friend who uses a pistol box for his minis. There are also a few companies out ther that make Miniature Storage boxes as well, but they really ain't worth the money.

As a teenager, I was very into D&D. I used to keep my figurines in a few different options. One was a tackle box. The second was a cross stitch box. My son keeps his collectable figurines in a Christmas ornament keeper. His best friend uses a sock/drawer divided systems. All of these options sell in the dollar-type stores in this area. I have a buddy who got a rifle case for his MechWarrior clix. It has some nice egg carton foam which keeps the miniatures in place and safe. It was relatively inexpensive, only a fraction of what he has spent on the one faction that he (mostly) keeps in it.

I think I found a solution that is expandable and cheap.... my girlfriend informed me there is such a beast called 'Christmas ornament organizer', which is essentially a rubber maid tub with flat stackable plastic racks inside. You can apparently get them in different sizes, but a small one should hold 200-300 figures, which is exactly what I'm looking for right now.

For a smaller carrying case I ll try one of those smaller tackle box like organizers for pre-selected teams, and for quick trips. Thanks to all for the options! Comics -N- Such (http://www.comicsnsuch.com)
