In Ultimate Wars, not only does Colossus make short work out of Iron Man, and seems to have no problem with Thor, either.

Now, perhaps I can swallow his easy defeat of Iron Man...I get the impression that Ultimate Iron Man isn't nearly as powerful as the regular Marvel Universe Iron Man...but 'he's been kicking the crap out of Thor for the last 15 minutes'...???? Huh??? I just don't see how. I mean, ok...Colossus is solid steel, but that shouldn't make him that damn tough. Thor's hammer can't dent solid steel? Come to think of it, Iron Man's armor isn't as tough as steel? Is Ultimate Colossus tougher then Ultimate Hulk, too?

I wish they used Ultimate Hulk to pound all the Ultimate X-Men and Magneto, too!

I don't think anything definitive has been released as to Peters strength, but neither has it been done for Thor either. In the Ultimate universe I'd say yes

And was re-captured by the (IIRC) gases knocking him out again. Explained in the same panel where they say he escapes (again, IIRC). The one right before Cap confronts Jan about the whole mutant thing. Apparently, he was able to eat the nursing staff (serves 'em right for tormenting Banner).

I'm sorry about the lack of spoilers, but that happened in issue two/three, either of which is old news by now.

My personal opinion is that Ult War went very well. As in real life, the X-men would have the advantage in strength and (as of now) numbers.

Oh, and about the strength: I have a Handbook comic in front of me, and at least in the regular marvel universe as of 1987, Hulk and Thor have Class 100 strength (able to lift in excess of 100 tons) and Colossus has Class 70 strength. So in 'reality', both Thor and Hulk would stomp the strongest of the X-men. However, if Juggernaut was to be convinced of allying with them... *

=)

And just for the record, Iron Man I of the reg universe has Class 50 strength while using armor, and Class 100 while using armor connected to a powerful energy source.

And just looking at fairness, the regular MU (as of 1987) group of Avengers had 4 class 100 warriors... Hulk, Goliath, Thor, and Hercules. Hmm.

Which finishes my monthly random rant. Thanks for your patience.

I can't see how it's too late. Banner is still around and it would certainly be fitting to see him eat Magneto.

The Ultimate colossus and the normal colossus probably have similar abilities
-able to lift approx. 70 tons
-withstand up to 9000 degrees of heat
(any temperature hotter and his organic
steel armor melts)
-his steel form gives him increased
resistance to injury and increased speed and
durability.
