Ummm...don't know if this is much of a SPOILER so...
Wasn't it Rick Jones that Bruce Banner saves from the radiation in the accident that creates the HULK in the book? Who the heck was that guy in the movie?Where is Rick?

Yeah but that was puzzling because not naming the other scientist Rick Jones served no purpose in the story. Naming him one way or the other didn't effect the plot while those other changes did effect it.

The name of the military-industrial company that Green Goblin sabotages in Spider-Man should've been 'Stark' instead of 'Quest', too.

Hmm... a movie that's different from the book it was based on... how odd.

No... what was puzzling was the whole 'shorts' phenomenon.
How can shorts/pants go from looking good on a little guy, still fit on that guy has he gets bigger, and still look flattering? And where can I get some?
And then, when he shinks back to Bruce again, sometimes he still has the shorts, and sometimes he's totally naked... but when the shorts are seen again, they are not oversized, and only have a couple of tears in them?
I reeeeally need to get me some Hulk shorts...

The Iron Man rights have been sold to another film studio, and the head honchos of 'Quest' died in the GG's attack. It shouldn't have been Stark at all.
Similarly, I don't want to conclude that not having Rick Jones in the movie was a mistake until I find out if the rights sold by Marvel tie him to Hulk or Captain America. It's possible Universal couldn't legally use him.

Naming the scientist Rick Jones would have been silly, because Rick Jones was not a scientist. It would have been just another lame inside reference like those that made up 99% of the content of the DAREDEVIL movie.
