Ultimate Adventures has been late from the go, hasn't it? Perhaps intentionally? Why doesn't Marvel admit when something's running late? Are they that scared or insecure?

No, Ultimate Adventures is just running hopelessly late. Issue #5 is solicited for May. (Along with, god help us, Marville #7.)

Why on earth would they be intentionally running late?

Marvel do admit when a book is behind schedule, in the sense that they cancel solicitations and re-solicit the book for later months.
