I see him putting up a lot of gimmicks and crap like that, he's insulting and doesn't make good decisions in my own opinion. Is there someone else who feels this way? I just think Marvel would be better in the hands of someone who isn't a prick in a suit, but actually loves the characters, it's a shame Stan ever left, Marvel will be worse than bankrupt in a few years, I

Personally, I think he subscribes to the 'no such thing as bad publicity' philosophy, and is using his position to try to stir up controversy and sell books. I don't think you can rise so high and actually be so dumb. [Insert favorite George W joke here]

Then don't buy them.
No because most of us don't take our comics THAT seriously. While I don't speak for others I read my comics for enjoyment, as I write my own fan fic (along with many a more talented folk at http://www.alternatemarvel.com). Comics are MEANT to be fun.
Why? The stories haven't been better for years. Who cares if something happens which contridicts some small thing which happened in a Spiderman comic 40 years ago.

It didn't say I took it THAT seriously... I'm speaking about the business, the reality of the books is that they're trying to be more realistic and serious than ever....
I agree, but it's the business. I understand fanboys have been a prick to Jemas, but he didn't have to be one back. I don't know if he's the right guy for the job.... although legally he is....

Disagree here. If anything Marvel are a lot more unrealistic. Sure they've gone from a very kiddy feel to a more mature, yet still PG rated, feel. This isn't a bad thing as a lot of books are having more complex and intelligent stories.
While I don't know him personally and find his online personality annoying the man knows how to sell comics. That's pretty much fact. And if the fanboys bark why shouldn't he bite back?

Complex and Intelligent stories. Name 5 intelligent stories from titles, and then name 5 complex stories from titles.
Because he's a grown man and should want to be welcome, not alienating readers... although they're selling more, he's not doing that well. He is relying on the same old gimmicks, which is why I wonder if he takes the books and their fans seriously. Someone who criticized him online (innocently) was told to 'get a life and get married', so I wonder what he thinks of the average fan, that they're an idiot, I guess.

Aside from the 'Nuff said' gimmick, which I found very annoying, all changes have been for the better IMHO.
I am certainly glad that we have someone with a fresh approach to things, at least compared to how I fear Stan Lee would run things.
With all the Marvel movies coming out and Marvel having a cut from those, as well as benefitting from the added exposure for their characters, I find this to be highly unlikely. I'd say Marvel could survive for quite a while regardless of who's in charge.

To be fair, nobody who writes fan fic should tell somebody else they are taking comics too seriously. I manage to read them and NOT write additional adventures about the characters.
Nobody. However, many times things happen that contradict some small thing that happened 4 months ago, or some large thing that happened 40 years ago that has been referenced over and over again since that time. If Spider-Man's costume was suddenly yellow and green for no reason, you might wonder why that was, because a red-and-blue costume is a part of your experience set with the character. For some people, that experience set is more broad, so it's easier for mistakes to be noticed. It doesn't mean they are taking them too seriously, just that they know more about them.

The decisions that he and Quesada have made concerning the content and even the continuity of many of their popular titles is horrible. Probably why I'm not reading many of them anymore.

This is not a sentiment that's reflected by others. Nor is it currently being reflected in the sales figures.
