JLA/Avengers ships in September!

Per Newsarama (www.newsarama.com), Tom Brevoort announced at Wizard World East that JLA/Avengers by Kurt 'Kontinuity' Busiek and George 'Aw, can't we toss in the Defenders and the Legion of Super-Heroes too?' Perez will ship the first issue in September.

If this is true, it's great news. The second half of this year promises to be a great time for comics...

That post deserves an award. This truly is great news. I don't know which to look forward to more Sir Perez's pencils or Sir Busiek's writing. And another thing is that it seems nobody can draw the massive covers with what I am sure is 100 characters oon the cover and not look over worked like George Perez can. Mr Lee and Mr Loeb better batten down the hatches cos they have Serious competition on the horizon for that No. 1 spot.

If quality was the only thing that mattered, there'd be numerous creator teams giving them a run for their money...

But, yes, good news about Avengers/JLA.

They announced it at Bristol last weekend as well, but apparently nobody noticed that it was new information...

I remember they mentioned the september release date but for some reason I thought that was old news as the reveleation only seemed to be used to make a jab at Marvel's lateness and no reorder policy.

Furthermore, isn't Hush over by then? Lee wouldn't be continuing on Batman right after Hush, but return later for a six-issue run or was that return after six issues (I forget)

Usually I see reports on Pulse or Newsarama about the big comic shows, or at least big/fairly big announcements made at them........yet I saw nothing for Comics Festival. :-/

I think August's BATMAN is the penultimate issue of Hush, meaning it ends in September.

Should be interesting.
