Sounds good like a hell of a combo. Think I'll check it out and see how it goes with Queen and Country.

Then let's hope it gets the Auto-TPB treament: I'm ready to switch over in terms of money, space, enjoyment, ecology and industry trends. Someone poke me up if/when it gets collected.

Wretch skipped DRK2 for the TPB

You know, I could have sworn I read the description of this on DC's web site on Tuesday, while making my weekly shopping list, and decided not to bother with it. Your description doesn't even sound vaguely familiar, so I don't remember how DC had described it that made me not want to try it. It does sound vaguely intruging from your description, so I might have to skim through it next week, if the store I go to still has a copy on the shelf.

You know, I'm not nearly as surprised that you read these to review them as I am by the fact that you skipped Captain Marvel, which from what I've heard is the one worthwhile book of the bunch. Are you trying to rig U-Decide or something? Personally, I made my decision to just skip all 3...

Agreed. This is a great comic, and well deserving of all the praise it keeps getting. I highly recommend everyone check it out. Personally, I still can't believe that the store I shop at only gets one copy of this every month (which goes straight into my pull list...much to the dismay, apparently, of one store employee who was planning on getting it).

POKE!

On October 3rd (I was told the 2nd but others are now saying the 3rd) Vertigo will be releasing a double pack of issues one and two for all those folks who missed the initial release. Also, it was announced at San Diego that Y - The Last Man will go to TPB after the first five issues are out, but please by all means support us by buying the comics! It lets us know you all care!

At times like these I really wish the DC web site had a search function.

Found it. I don't blame you for skipping it. It bears little resemblence to what's in the book.

'While investigating a bizarre waterfront crime, hotshot police detective Maggie Sun discovers a centuries-old hellish plot that's about to be unleashed by the Demon Lord Azuras. With the help of a mystical black pearl, Maggie alone has the power to battle Azuras and his demon minions. But does the answer to defeating Azuras lie in her own family's dark past?'

This issue ends with her beginning to investigate the waterfront situation. There's no revelation of the Demon Lord yet, no black pearl, and no dark past. So thanks, DC, for writing about the wrong issue and spoiling the upcoming events!

It's also got alternate covers, which I didn't know
