Austen is gone after this arc. Dave Gibbons is writing the next storyline, and as far as I know, after that it's an entirely new writer who hasn't been announced yet.

So things can only improve.

Reiber, much as I've liked some of his other work, isn't the most coherent writer in the first place, and with him being rewritten, I suppose we're lucky that there IS a story.

Spear. Rich Johnston last week reported a curious rumour that in fact Austen is dialoguing an entirely new story over art originally drawn to Reiber's plots, in which case I wouldn't read too much into... well, anything in the issue.

Yes, Micah Wright would be an extremely interesting choice, and almost guaranteed to never happen.
