John Byrne Quits the Message Boards!

On his unoffical fan site message board, John Byrne has announced that he will no longer be posting to ANY message boards every again.

The racists have won.

Ok I know I am feeding the troll, but does anyone have a clue as to why he thinks that anyone who disliked Lab Rats and JB is a racist?

One of the many many complaints about Lab Rats was that the haircut of the black character was about 20 years out of date. That's the only connection I can make.

On any day of the week, I can walk down the street and see one black person with a Fro that would make any brother from the 60s/70s proud, then turn around and see another black person with a flat-top (circa 80s), then seen more with a bald head (90s) or corn rows, etc. From where I'm standing, just about anything goes these days when it comes to the hair styles of black people.

Over in the DC newsgroup there are a couple of theories one been that he doesn't actually mean racists as in people who hate based solely on skin colour, but RACists those who dislike JB and post to the Rec.Arts.Comics hierarchy.

Yes, but that kind of wordplay would require an intelligence that I generally don't associate with such trolls 'n' troublemakers.

How can they get away with that?
