Just a quick question for someone that might know - I'm thinking along the lines of Mark Evanier and the like.

I've just finished reading the Comic's Journal Library: Jack Kirby and I found the parts about Kirby's dealings with Marvel most intersting, but one thing puzzled me - why was it that back then Marvel were appearing to be doing their best to screw Kirby yet people such as John Romita Sr seemed to come out of it unscathed? I've nothing against Romita, but it's something that I just can't quite fathom.....was it that Romita was more of a company man than what Kirby was and didn't rock the boat? (Such as what Bob Kane appeared to be to Schuster and Siegel at DC)

Anyone care to shed some light on this?

ME: You can also get it over at www.twomorrows.com and from www.budplant.com. I think my mother's going door-to-door with copies, but I don't think she'll get as far as Australia.

Hope you enjoy it. There'll be another volume out in time for this year's San Diego convention.
