Hey.

I'm an aspiring comics columnist on the lookout for some (possibly small and unregarded) comics sites that have a kind of racier (i.e. not so solemn, not so PC, not so allegedly-objective, not so mainstream, not so prudish - and yet still serious and professional-like) attitude than usual. I mean a place where they aren't afraid to tackle the more obvious appeal that many comics have to the 'baser' instincts - I'm sure you can imagine what I mean. I'm still talking about your average superhero books; I'm just looking for somebody with a kind of starker, more direct attitude to them... y'know?

Any recommendations? Thanks.

Indeed. Last year I went to the Konica gallery at the British Museum which had an exhibit of original ukiyo-e prints, and this same one (I assume it was, anyway- how many can there be?) was there, along with several other shall we say explicit images, scattered at random through the room. A woman was taking her young daughter around the room in the opposite direction to me and I was in two minds as to whether to warn her or not. I was weak and didn't. I hope she isn't permanently damaged...
