I've been looking into some issues of Ant-man i've never managed to pick up but i'm a bit confused over the Marvel Feature issues. He was in 4 & 5 dated 1973 vol1 and it ended on a cliff hanger. But the only M F issue 6 & 7 I can find have Red Sonja. These issues alsocxlaim tro be vol 1 but are dated 1976. I thought it was just another story never finished or ended up appearing in some other obscure title(Marvel had a habit of doing this in the early 70's!). But I now find out he also appeared in issues 8, 9, 10 dated 1973 vol 1.

Can someone shed some light on this and also, what stories featured (no pun intended!) in issues 6 & 7.

Thanx in advance.

What happened in 4 and 5? Maybe I have some random story in my collection that continues that plotline.

4 features a peter parker cameo, story revolves around curt connors son being kidnapped and ant-man getting stuck at his reduced size. 5 is the story of him trying to get home at ant size and he stumbles across Egghead arguing with his niece at a garbage tip (!). Antman & Trish foil Eggheads plot (such as it is) and she sows him a new costume and gets him home. It ends with him finding the wasp passed out on the floor. The next issue i found is number 8, but this is a completely different ant-man story.

The nigh-lengendary Kurt Busiek sez.... << The first MARVEL FEATURE lasted12 issues. #1-3 featured the Defenders, and led to the ongoing DEFENDERS series. #4-10 were Ant-Man stories. #11-12 were Thing team-up stories and led to the ongoing MARVEL TWO-IN ONE. The second MARVEL FEATURE run lasted 7 issues, all of them featuring Red Sonja. This run led to the ongoing RED SONJA series.<<

Some addititonal notes: The later issues of the Ant-Man series featured the first Marvel work of P. Craig Russell. The Ant-Man mini-series is self-contained and ends with Ant-Man being restored to normal size in #10.

The two Thing issues featured some of Jim Starlin's early Marvel work as well as a Hulk/Thing battle (#11) and a Thanos appearance (#12, which is a sequel to IRON MAN #55).
