It's the third article from the top.

Sounds like the photo cover put many people off. Personally, I thought that it was just plain dumb.

Hi.

The photo cover was a good idea. It made the issue stand out from the rest of the 'regular' covers.

I have to agree.

I HONESTLY have no idea what the uproar over the cover or the book is. Way back when it was announced as a concept it was described as an attempt to rekindle the romance-comics of yester-year that MIGHT interest Marvelites (which I take is the reason for the leading characters being named what they are and the 'mystery' there).

Maybe Previews gave a different impression than what was in Wizard, or people just interpreted it differently, but nothing done with the comic has struck me as offensive, horrible (in any sense, really), or rediculous. On the other hand, I'm not particularly interested in the material, either.

Guess that's just me.

Yeah, Trouble doesn't really seem like a big deal. It certainly intended for the bookstores. The direct market wouldn't know what to make of it. Right now all we are hearing is the reactions from mainly 22-35 year old men of a book targeted at 14 year old girls. There's humor in that. Right now you have to take everything you hear about it with a grain of salt.

Personally, I don't believe I could be farther removed from the audiance this is intended for, but I wish them luck with.

It's hard to believe so many 35 year old men purchased this. I dont get that. Was it the alleged Peter parker tie-in? I took one look at that photo cover and knew I wasn't picking this up any more than I would read a copy of Sweet Valley High.

Hiya The main reason i picked it up is because of: 1) the art 2) the story (because i like off-beat stuff, not just SUPER-HEROES!!!!!)

But that's just me... Matt.

I KNOW you didn't say this....

but when I first glanced at it, it looked like it said 'I like beat-off stuff'...

And considering the subject matter of this title.....

He did strike me as a very odd choice. 'Trouble', as a concept, plays to many of his weaknesses and few of his strengths as a writer.
