Hi.

In Fantastic Four #40, the Battle of the Baxter Building, page four panel two, Mister Fantastic (then without his powers, and on his way with Daredevil's help to fight Doctor Doom) thought: 'If we survive this battle, I'll owe that man a debt that can never be repaid.'

Daredevil has been in serious trouble, alone and at less (a lot less) than full power against his arch enemy once or twice since then.

Has Mister Fantastic ever showed up at Daredevil's hour of need, and acted like a man that had a debt that was too big completely to pay off, but that nevertheless required him to do his very best for an old

Didn't Reed testify in Daredevil's behalf when DD was being sued for destroying the guy's greenhouse (and Matt Murdoch was the PLAINTIFF'S

No, he testified at the White Tiger's disaterous murder trial (with Matt the lawyer for defence). Reed is seen in Daredevil V2, #39. Presented as an 'Expert Witness on Superheroes'.

And judging by how that went, I'd say Reed still owes Daredevil big

Was White Tiger's death actually confirmed, or is it likely to be one of those 'he was rushed to the hospital in time' situations?

I don't think they ever said 'He's dead, Jim', but you can see a outline bullet go through his outline head. If this were any other universe we're talking about, I'd say that's game, set, and match.

Well, I believe in the Kevin Smith DAREDEVIL arc, there's some mention that Mr. Fantastic gave DD the costume he was wearing, made of special polymers or somesuch that ended up saving DD's bacon somehow. (Sorry for the vague response; I don't have the story handy and can't remember exactly what it was other than Mr. Fantastic was mentioned.)

Thanks, Christopher Griffen.

I suppose that's one thing you can do with this dangling plot-lead. If you want Daredevil to have anything from a gee-whiz costume to a mega-tech billy-club to ... anything really ... you can say Mister Fantastic gives/gave it to him, and there's a credible motivation for that.

Still, overall, it seems Jeremy Henderson is right: Mister Fantastic still owes Daredevil, big

Ok, this was waaaaaaaaay before my time. So how did a depowered Reed and DD beat Dr. Doom?

I kinda' wish the mArvel Universe would be as close as it used to be. Not enough interaction nowadays.

Ok, I thought he was dead as well, which is clearly where the punch of the story comes from.

However, at the Quesda panal at Wizardworld this weekend, Joe mentions how he told Bendis to call up White Tiger's creator for permission to kill him off. I find it har dto believe that someone would give Bendis permission to kill off someone they created!

Why not? If they had no future plans for the character, and Bendis convinced them that the story was worth telling and required that character's death, why shouldn't they approve?

We are talking about comic books, after all. If you're not Ben Parker or Bucky Barnes, there seems to be no obligation to make sure you stay dead.
