Writer/artist Chris Giarrusso, best known as the creator of the popular Bullpen Bits cartoon strip as featured irregularly in Marvel Comics' titles and on the Marvel.com Web site, recently announced in his discussion forum at X-Fan that the long-awaited sequel to 2001's Giant-Size Mini-Marvels one-shot is now on Marvel's publishing schedule.

I liked the reprints from the Bullpen Bulletin but the original story was a bore. With his simplistic style he should have twelve to sixteen panels per page. Instead we got three or four panels/page with blank backgrounds.

Most excellent news. Mini-Marvels was one of my favorite projects of the last few years. Hopefully, we won't have as long a sa wait in between them

Great news! The first one was thoroughly enjoyable, but seriously under-ordered. I had to bring my copy back to the shop to show people (including the owner) how good it was. Funny that the infamous Bullpen Bits #36 got left out... so I printed it out and posted it on the wall at the store.

The reference to Peanuts was kind of odd... Mini Marvels always struck me as having more of a Calvin and Hobbes-type humour. Wherever it's from, I like it.
