Now that we know wizardworld has gone under and the folks over at wizard entertainment can now be found at wizarduniverse I have another question. Did Wizard Entertainment always use eizarduniverse.com?

I ask because a quick check of the networksolutions whois database indicates wizardunivese.com was established back in Jun 2000, and the latest update to the domain occured on Dec 19, 2002... which was probably when the shift from wizardworld.com to wizarduniverse.com occured.

I'm just curious why wizarduniverse.com was established way back when. Thanks for any information.

Many companies during that era reserved a number of variant URLs for their company or property names, either for unspecified future plans or to prevent others from getting them.

Yeah I thought of that, but they didn't bother to nab .net or .org.. just the .com address which lead me to believe that there might have been something else going on back then. Probably nothing, was just curious.
