Nudity in this weeks comics

It couldn't be worse than anything that I've seen from time to time. I've seen racier scenes when I was a teenager reading Marvel comics. It's SOP to obscure details through omission, strategic placement of shadows, articles of clothing, etc.

The most explicit picture I saw in a Marvel comic was a THOR annual which portrayed the conception of a character that looked all the world like a cosmic muff-dive, with shafts of light blocking our view of the naughty bits. There were also similarly depicted scenes in issues of the AVENGERS (Ms. Marvel's seduction at the hands of Immortus) and UNCANNY X-MEN (numerous Storm shower-scenes, Dark Phoenix's psi-war with Professor X). In all of the scenes, the nudity was obvious but was cleverly concealed so as to avoid offending the really prudish.

Not that having costumes which perfectly revealed cleavage and the outlines of a crotch area (although male crotches were effectively left blank) made a difference...

I am ashamed to say that I did see that movie, and even laughed.

Obviously the fact that I couldn't remember its name means that I have submerged that memory.

Well, it was better than American Pie. Got that movie was crap of the highest order, I never saw the sequel and will avoid the third.
