This is exactly what I was talking about in a previous post. Stories today are not Spidey like. It sounds like he intends to bring back Mary Jane which IMHO is a good idea. But whyyyyy kill her in the first place? I truly believe it was the writers' intent to kill her instead of divorce the two since no one wanted them to get a divorce. At the same time the fans were saying their relationship had become stale so I think the writers figured lets kill her. The relationship stays intact, but she's out of the picture.

However, that has been their answer to everything when trying to tie up loose ends. Kill Aunt May, Kill Ben Reilly, now Mary Jane. Who's next? Probably Peter so they can bring back Ben. I could be wrong about this since I quit reading the titles about a year ago, but.......I just don't think there is any direction in the Spider books anymore. Make up your darn minds!
