I am not familiar with the Phoenix Origin, but Jean Grey already died in X-2. Now if this is how the Dark Phoenix takes over Jean Grey, then they will probably play close to the Phoenix Saga of X-Men #136, and she will probably appear to be killed off at the end of the film.
Now that Pyro joined forces with Magneto, he will be out of the way to allow a leading spot for Collosus [spelling], and Iceman could appear as a full form of Ice. Ki Kitty Pryde will probably come up to the front line in X-4, after the Dark Pheonix is out of the way! Until then she will just remain with cameos to prepare us with her formal introduction!
