Raimi Having Second Thoughts About Spider-Man 4?

It seems that the director of Spider-Man Sam Raimi is waiting to see James Vanderbilt’s script before he decides whether he’ll direct the fourth installment of the franchise.

As Kevin Melrose reports if Sam Raimi won’t see and approve the script he might not sign for Spider-Man 4 and this can very possibly mean that the lead actors Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst would refuse to return.

I hope there is no real problem but rather an attempt of Raimi to make sure he gets a reasonable script to work with but for the very least he expresses distrust in the script quality when he demands to see it before signing and as the director of the previous Spider-Man movies he probably knows what he is doing.
