Rawhide Kid on Crossfire tonight

Saw it advertised this morning... looks like they assume comics are for kids and believe that the Kid is the first gay character ever. 'There's a new comic charcter... and HE'S GAY.'

Slow news day.

But what do you expect. Here's one of the guests they are having...

Indeed. Good thing there's nothing of any importance going on anywhere in the world.

I wonder what the Iraqi's think about RK's coming out? They must be all a-twitter. And I bet the North Koreans are firing up that reactor again so that the impoverished villages can keep the lights on longer at night in anticipation of all the copies or RK that will be read at night after the workers get home.

Come to Britain, where the BBC News website is currently leading on... [checks]... a pointless squabble over whether the Prime Minister's wife phoned somebody about something.

Still marginally more important than the Rawhide Kid, I suppose.

Isn't that a plot synopsis for half the episodes of 'Are You Being Served?'

One of those shows that the British can't quite believe the Americans are still watching...

Don't blame us. Public television stations here seem to think that A) these dated Brit-sits are the *only* funny things you've ever made for the telly and it's okay to put comedy on PBS as long as it's British.

For my part, I stopped watching 'AYBS' and 'Yes, Minister' after seeing about three episodes of each back to back during a night of insomnia (good cure, too).

But I'm still in mourning for 'The Young Ones' from waaay back when.

That's the irony of it all. To get you to send money, they *preempt* the programs you normally watch and show John Tesh concerts instead.

Fortunately, I no longer watch PBS at all.
