Ah. Looks like no one clued Moench into the late Marvel Knights series, where Chuck Dixon was using a shadowy figure who was Shang-Chi's dad. A character, due to the legal problems with Fu Manchu, I was expecting top be revealed as the Yellow Claw......but alas, cancellation and/or an incorrect theory on my part prevented that from ever happening...

Hooray! I'm not the only person reading and loving this!!

Can't wair for Icons: Starfox, Icons: Darkhawk and Icons: Maha Yogi......!

I'm still kinda mixed on this part of the series (the regular Earth stuff with Hawkeye and the new Tbolts is cool, though). It's not great, but it's definitely not bad......

Mercifully so. Most of Chi's (and supporting cast's) appearances by writers other than Moench have been fairly poor (an appalling usage of Shen Kuei in Spiderman springs to mind). The new series looks quite good.

Not by a long shot, though discussion of it has been rather quiet around here. One more issue to go ...

Especially if they've read the extremely good 'Kobalt' title from Milestone many years ago....

I must admit the silhouette on the cover does make Hawk-Owl look like some sort of pimp, with the furry collar and all.

Bah. So much for my ill-conceived hope that #4 had somehow been mislabeled as #5.
