If you haven't heard the news yet, Sal Larrocca will be leaving Namor after issue #6. Frenz will be taking over the art starting with issue #7 and will remain on Spider-Girl as well. Larrocca has no word on what he'll be doing after Namor, but he does know he won't be going back to X-Treme. Comics -N- Such (http://www.comicsnsuch.com)

Quite right... sorry Dang Freudian slips! But isn't this a terrible predicament for Larocca? They forced him out of a title where he was quite popular in order to save a title and then leave him in the lurch. I'd love to see him back on X-Treme myself, but I suppose anything that he touches will be good enough. Comics -N- Such (http://www.comicsnsuch.com)

Well Sal didn't exactly go over to Namor on his own. He was forced to move, but I expected him to stick around a little longer than six issues. We also haven't been told the back story here, so perhaps there's a little more going on than is being made publicly available. Comics -N- Such (http://www.comicsnsuch.com)

He's fast, but he's not 18-issues-a-year fast. And that's the current Uncanny schedule.

Last time that happened, IIRC, was during the X-Corps storyline (argh, I cannot escape that freakin' storyline!), which had Garney, Lopresti and S.Phillips art. Since then it's been pretty much one artist per storyline - Garney, Asamiya, Phillips (or Phillips, Asamiya - I forget the order), Garney again, Tan, etc...

No. They tend to change artist with each new storyline, but they're usually sticking with a single artist for the whole of any individual

It's being confirmed this morning that Sal Larroca will be heading to Uncanny X-Men and will be pencilling 14 issues per year, plus an unnamed mini-series. This is great news, even though I really wanted to see him back with Chris Claremont. So it looks like Phillip Tan will be taking a hiatus (at least) from UXM, but lets hope those additional UXM issues per year will be done by him. Comics -N- Such (http://www.comicsnsuch.com)

I know its blasphemy to say it, especially here, seeing how its written by Jemas and all, but I really like this new Namor series. And although I'd prefer a present-day Namor title, this one isn't bad and the art is very nice. I'm actually getting into the story after reading issue #2. Go figure.
