Saw the Spidey film.... but wasnt impressed

Okay. Anyway, I saw the Spidey film, and was sadly unimpressed. It's not that it is a crap film, or rubbish, it's just that Tobey was not the guy I saw as Peter/ Spider-man. Everyone else fitted except him. I think that it might be that he did extremely little of his own stunts, and that kinda bugged me, especially in the wrestling scene, or where he takes the photos of himself,where he appeared once, but he was good in the emotional parts. Willem Dafoe, unlike others I've read here, was pretty good in my opinion, often stealing the limelight from Tobey. And before anyone asks, no I would not have liked to have seen Freddy 'Prick' Jr in the title role. And yes, I thought J.K Simmons stole the show.

Nope. I loved the film. Yes it had it's faults but overall it was very well done. And I went into it with a lot of negativity. Cannot wait for the sequel!

Oh wow, I actually thought he was the perfect pick for the part. He 'looked' like Peter Parker and had the right demeanor... I definitely thought he was good in the role.

So your qualification for a good Spider-Man is that he does his own stunts? Because that makes Jackie Chan the best Peter Parker choice in the world.

Blech! And teaming up with Spidey in the sequel is Chris Tucker as the Black Panther.

Great movie. Best superhero film ever - blew away the Superman and Batman films.

But then again, Marvel always blew away DC.

As much as I enjoy Spider-man, it's not better than the first Batman movie with the Joker. Tim Burton did an incredible job with that. Compare to Burton's Batman, Spider-man looks sorta campy.

I found Burton's Batman to be a little slow-moving. Until the Spider-Man movie, my favorite superhero movie was the 1st Superman sequel.

Most of the 'stunts' you're referring to involved a CGI Spider-Man ... it would have been physically impossible for Maguire to pull off those moves. And what was the problem with him taking photos of himself? He's only been doing that is the comics since the 60's.
