I have come by a lot (1000) or so marvel UK comics Avengers, Hulk, Fab4, planet of the apes, Spiderman, vampire, and loads of other stuff . There is a lot of running issues. Dating from late 60s to the early eighties Are these worth any thing as I know nothing about comics. I have been told that UK issues are only good for the fire. Is this true please.

Generally speaking they're worthless, but there's always someone who would want them, so don't go throwing them on the fire just yet. If there's any early Transformers comics in there, they might fetch a fair bit of money, with the nostalgia boom still going on, and the superhero titles are always fun to find at a car boot sale, although I wouldn't go out of my way to get black & white reprints of half an American comic unless it was a really good one...

They probably aren't worth big money, but try to sell them cheap. Maybe on ebay.

No thanks, feller.

But I'd suggest that you give them to someone who would read them before you throw them away. I'm sure there are plenty of organizations committed to helping children in whatever way out there who could put them to good use.

Those comics are worth about a buck apiece if you put them up on eBay especially in big runs. Good Luck. Could be 1000 bucks...

They have no great monetary value, it's true, so why not pass them on to the kids of a friend or relative? Lots of good reading in there.

Hi,

what i would do is auction them on eBay as 100 issue box sets, say for around £30 each. I know that people will buy because I do this (buy, not sell) and have regularly been a part of angry bidding wars.
