Alex Ross' Marvels would be pretty similar, and good too. The story, by Kurt Busiek, retells early Marvel Universe stories from the point of view of a reporter.

You're not alone, but you'd think so by the fact that the trade paperback has been out of print for so long. Is Marvel trying to forget this story happened? It was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
