Can you say 'Flash Thompson' boys and girls?

Is this something everybody already knows, or am I just the first to figure it out?

If true then this would be a HUGE plot twist in the life of our favorite wall-crawler. You all know how Flash used to pick on Peter in school? Wait untill he becomes Venom... Let the bullying begin...

Not to mention that if Adrenaline is what Venom needs then he should do well with Flash as he is an adrenaline junkie himself.

Why what happened to Eddie Brock?

If u didn't read the last issue of spec spider-man then u need to know that venom is looking for a new host.

JRJR on art duties? I can't wait. In the meanwhile, the artist on Spec. Spidey is Humberto Ramos. He's using the same atrocious style Meglia used to scare me off Rucka's Elektra. If you like the art of Human Torch, or Venom, you'll like Spec. Spidey. I don't.

I find Ramos' art fascinating, myself. It was his covers that drew me in back on the Jenkins/Ramos Green Goblin story in PPSM last year or so, and convinced me to add it to my pull account. It's definitely unusual, though, and I can understand that not everyone will like it. I've never seen Meglia except for his fill-ins near the end of PPSM, but I sort of assumed he was intentionally macking Ramos' style for those issues (sort of like Buckingham emulating Bachelo on Gaiman's second DEATH miniseries). Does Meglia always draw that way? Did one of them 'start' that look and the other picked it up, or what?

I believe Meglia always draws that way. I read his Elektra, but not PPSSM I'm not sure whether his art predates Ramos'. It's not unknown for artists to have similar styles. Carlos Pacheco and Salvador Larroca have similar styles, as do Phil Jiminez and George Perez. Meglia/Ramos/Herrera/Young all pencil similarly (imo).

I like it. It is unique and different and new! Those qualities are what the evolution of the comic book are all about. For the life of me I don't believe I have ever seen Meglia's art before. How long has he been around?

Well if u haven't been reading Venom, then u haven't seen Herrera's art in there. In my opinion it is 100% wanna-be Ramos. Maybe it is that way for a reason. I might be wrong though, but it seems Ramos style has always been the way it is now. It was in Crimson. But I dunno, his early Impulse issues were a lot 'cleaner', more traditional I guess.

In the original post I suggested that Venom was going to be taking over Flash Thompson for a new host. I didn't see anyone comment on that and I would like to know what u all would think of such a thing. It would be a helluva bad day for Peter, because doesn't Venom know who Spider-man really is? And if so then Flash would end up knowing too. NOT GOOD!!! lol hahaha.
