Spiderman: Blue - the end

First Loeb/Sale collaboration I haven't enjoyed. I don't know... this series just didn't do anything for me. The whole thing just seemed so damn pointless. Maybe reading it in one sitting, instead of waiting months between issues would help, but I doubt it.

I liked the series, but it seemed very rushed at the last issue and a half. I was hoping for a little more.

Now, more than ever, am I convinced than choosing not having Gwen Stacey in the movies is a mistake. Her death is number three in Peter Parker's Life Altering Experiences, the spider bite and Uncle Ben's death being number one and two, respectively. God bless Mary Jane, but she is still only number four.

Yep, I'd go with 'pointless', too. Some recaps of old issues, without much drive to it, and a very flat ending. The drawn-out publication didn't help, surely, but I don't think I'll be following the next Loeb/Sale retread.

To give credit where credit is due, Tom D. only established that MJ had 'known for years' that Peter was Spider-Man. It was Gerry Conway, in the OGN 'Parallel Lives', that established MJ learned Pete was Spidey on the night Uncle Ben was killed.
