Spiderman question

Hi,

I picked up a Spiderman book awhile ago adn there was this guy called Ezekiel. Iwas wondering who he is/was and what his role is/was in PSideys life? I used to be a huge spidey fan adn am trying to get beck in. Any important info I should know would be a huge help. I stopped reading soon after the infamous clone saga.

Things to know: Peter and MJ are separated, with MJ living in LA pursuing an acting career, but still appearing every now and then. Aunt May knows Peter is Spider-Man. She's also made it her pet project to improve Spider-Man's image in the public eye. Norman Osborn is alive and, in a recent story arc, put Flash into a coma to get at Peter. That brings up a point which never made any sense to me during that story...sure, having the proportionate speed, strength, and agility of a spider is a great party trick, but does it really make for the best foundation to build a personal fortune? I mean, what did Ezekiel do, fight and beat Crusher Hogan 10,000 times for the price money?
