No. The Purple Man is appearing in a flashback story, by the way. According to ALIAS, at the moment he's locked up in a maximum security

Which ended with Purple Man falling down a cliff, if I remember correctly. (Not that he couldn't have been salvaged and put behind bars afterwards, mind you.)

Basically, only the strongest willed characters had a chance against Killgrave's power. Offhand, the only ones I recall resisting it without some sort of protective suit were Daredevil, the Kingpin, and Dr. Doom (although an argument could be made that Doom's sufficiently paranoid that his every day armor filters his air supply).

To be honest, the silly bit is that Daredevil can resist Killgrave, since Killgrave's power is pheromone based. If anything, DD's enhanced senses should make him more vulnerable at a greater range than anyone else.

Also those who don't have human physiologies. Wasn't Wonder Man immune as he's not strictly an organic life form anymore, but an ionic construct? Not sure how aliens would react either...

I don't have a sense of smell at all, never have, never will. I wonder if that would render me immune from at least one supervillain (Well, Killgrave and an old Legion character called Polecat)

If so... Cool! I'm immune to a supervillains powers!

So how did people like Power-Man or Spider-Man beat him? All he would have had to do was tell them to jump off a building and viola.

In the famous story in Marvel Team-Up Annual #4 (Frank Miller's 'Power Play', Spidey defeated him by wearing a Walkman turned up so loud he couldn't hear the Purple Man's commands.

It's funny how effective sound waves are at repelling pheremones, isn't it?
