That was perhaps the worst 'fight you never thought you'd see' column I'd yet read from Wizard. They're usually better than that. Despite how much I really like Batman, I don't think he could handle Spidey. But then again, I didn't think he could handle Supes either.....

Does Humon evolve into Superhumon?

Hmm, just when people at racdcu were harping about Wizard being a pro-Marvel/anti-DC magazine.

How did the fight pan out? Was it a straight toe-to-toe slugfest or did Batman resort to his superior intelligence and strategic know-how. Seriously though, in a straight-on fight, Batman wouldn't stand a chance in beating Spider-Man. Not with Spider-Man's superhuman strength, agility and endurance

Yeah, but Bats has taken out the Hulk. With a kick to the solar plexus while surrounded by some gas.

Personally, I don't think the Jolly Green Giant would have even noticed, but I'm not a writer...

A fight with Batman in it isn't going to be a straight-on fight unless there's some outside force to enforce it.

It was, sadly, a pretty straight-up fight. The writer didn't even put very much effort into making the sequence of events (i.e. 'fight moves' realistically lead to a Batman victory.

Except that just about any reasonably powerful superhuman just totally outclasses a human. Check out the short story 'Feeding Frenzy' by Walter Jon Williams in the Wild Cards boosk for a good look at just how incredibly effective a moderately powerful superhuman can be when he is determined (think of a guy with CaptaiN America level physicality , walk walking, and darkness projection pwers and he completely dismantles a major conspiracy and finsihes off some bad guys who had held off sizeable military assualts a few years previous). Someone like Spidey who outclasses Batman in all physical ways and who also has the advantages of wall walking, webs, and a danger sense, would walk all over Cap.
