This is a bad thing because if the movie is just eye candy with a terrible plot, terrible characterization, and terrible dialogue and the general public *does* end up liking it, Marvel may decide to incorporate the above elements into their comics. There's a reason that the general public does not read comics. As comic fans, we appreciate the art and stories, and if that doesn't appeal to other people, that's fine. But Marvel needs to realize that making a movie that isn't like the comic is not going to get people to start reading comics unless the comics start reflecting the movies (e.g. the ugly new costumes in the x-men comics). Personally, i like daredevil and plan to see the movie, but i would much rather see a faithful rendition of the comic than Affleck doing moves right out of the Matrix.
